Recently, an Athens woman was arrested on suspicion of driving while drunk with three children in her car. Police report they received a call from someone saying that the woman was intoxicated and driving with her children in the car. Police stopped her car with her three children between the ages of 1 and 6 inside. They report that she had an odor of alcohol on her breath and also failed the roadside sobriety tests. A breath test indicated that the driver had a blood-alcohol concentration of .158 percent and she was charged with DUI and three counts of DUI/endangering a child and driving on a suspended license.
