What to Know Immediately Following a DUI Arrest
If you have been arrested for a DUI, your mind is likely racing with questions. Initially you may wonder what will happen to your driver’s license, the ware bouts of your vehicle, among the more serious worries like pending criminal charges and your job and/or student status.
At the time of your arrest, the officer likely made you surrender your driver’s license. In order to maintain driving privileges, you must request an Administrative Review Hearing within ten business days of the arrest. If your license was valid then you are granted a provisional license until the hearing. If you then lose at the hearing, you cannot drive afterward. You can be granted a work permit to drive only to and from work.
We strongly encourage anyone arrested of a DUI to seek legal counsel. An Administrative Review Hearing is not common knowledge and it is best to hire an experienced attorney to guide you through the process. With over 30 years of legal experience, attorney Joe Lariscy will fight on your behalf for the best possible outcome from your DUI arrest.
